We have come upon a small collection of interesting and beautiful vintage amber and silver rings. These rings are a bit of a mystery to us, and our research has not yet unearthed identifying information about them. They are reminiscent of some wonderful Polish and Latvian rings, but we have been unable to make a direct connection. If you have any thoughts we would love to hear them.
A powerful sterling silver and amber ring with a Brutalist aesthetic, it feels both ancient and futuristic. A cabochon of warm, glowing amber stands proudly, held in its bezel by six long prongs. The amber sits above a round silver dome with a scalloped openwork frame that recalls traditional Scandinavian design. Silver beads embellish the frame's interstices. The decorative top sits above a knife edge band that is engraved with a zig zag pattern. The interior of the band is engraved "STG.SILV" and is stamped with an unidentified kite-shaped cartouche. This ring feels like a potent talisman, waiting for its enchantress.
Details.....Currently a size 7. For a fee, silver rings can usually be sized within two sizes. Please contact us for sizing information about this ring. The top of the ring measures 17.9mm in diameter and 15.1mm in profile. The band measures 2.2mm wide. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of the charm.
