This Modernist ring resembles a sea anemone, its stinging polyps extended and searching for prey. The high points of the polyps are polished and shiny, and the low points are darkened with oxidization. This odd piece is rendered in sterling silver. The tufty, pom-pom-like thing sits above a heavy, distressed half-round band. Circa 1970.
