DATE: Georgian, c.1830

An exceptional Georgian signet ring with heraldic cock intaglio. The crest was designed to make a wax seal, and the level of detail in the carving is particularly impressive. It's crafted in 18 karat gold with an orange/red carnelian panel and dates from the first half of the 19th Century, circa 1830. Typically Georgian in style, with a stepped profile and tapered shoulders.
