Longines is one of the oldest continuously operating watch manufacturers in the world, with roots dating all the way back to 1832. Over that immense period of time, the brand has crafted some truly incredible—and incredibly accurate—timepieces. In fact, it's one of the reasons Longines is the official timekeeper of the Kentucky Derby, where accuracy is paramount. 

Whether it's a chronograph, diving watch, or a simple dress model, a Longines wristwatch never seems to disappoint. Longines' history is sprawling, with an array of beautiful and functional watches, including military-issued timepieces, beautiful sports watches, and unique dress watches.

This fantastic piece falls squarely into the latter category. With a rectangular brushed stainless steel case and oval-shaped dial reminiscent of a vintage mirror, Roman numeral hour markers, semi-hidden lugs, and an original Longines-signed mesh stainless steel bracelet, this watch is tailor-made for going somewhere special.

CASE & BRACELET

The ultra-mod, very thin, and ultra-crisp stainless steel case looks to have been potentially lightly polished in the past, though it is in excellent overall condition and maintains a slight curvature around the top edge of the case that gives the watch a necessary element of dimension. The case retains its original Longines-signed crown. The case back is clean, with factory engravings present and legible. The watch comes supplied on its original mesh stainless steel bracelet with a Longines-signed clasp. The bracelet is currently sized to fit a 7 1/2-inch wrist, but it can be adjusted to fit slightly larger or much smaller.

DIAL & HANDS

The original silver dial features horizontal brushing and is in well-preserved condition, showing only very light speckling in a few places from age. The original hands are in excellent condition as well.
